Description

- Provides fire and emergency response for the city of International Falls and surrounding areas - The International Falls Fire Department has 32 Firefighters, 6 are full-time and the rest are paid on-call. The full-time staff is comprised of the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, and 4 Firefighter Engineers. The Fire Department is responsible for providing coverage for International Falls, Ranier, and the areas served by the R.F.P.A. - The department now has 1 Arial/snorkeling unit, 2 pumpers, an equipment van, and a grass fire rig. Along with these firefighting units, the rural International Falls area also has a pumper, and a 3,000-gallon tanker. - Some of the duties that the department is responsible for, are firefighting operations, vehicle extrications, fire inspections, and fire prevention throughout the community.
