Empowers people to engage in civic life and public policy, to make Minnesota a better place to live and work. Provides civic engagement and public policy solutions in the areas of aging, caregiving, education, governance, workforce, and public safety. Services provided:
  • Capital Pathways Program: Aims to build a representative democracy through paid policy internships and professional development for college students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color. Provides a paid internship to college students within government, nonprofit, corporate, law, and lobbying organizations that work at or around the State Capitol during the legislation session.
  • Policy projects that bring individuals with varying viewpoints and perspectives to develop policy solutions to common problems, elevating lived experiences and local expertise
  • Public events on public policy issues in accessible spaces that highlight community leaders inspiring civic engagement. Current events include the Mind Opener series, partner series such as Interconnected: Rural-Urban Conversations, and the annual Civic Celebration.
