Day Treatment Program - Fergus Falls Area Special Education Cooperative

Eligibility
Children and youth who are living with an emotional behavioral disturbance or other health-related disability and meet all the following criteria:
  • A resident or open-enrolled as a student at Ashby, Battle Lake, Breckenridge, Campbell-Tintah, Pelican Rapids, Rothsay, or Underwood School Districts of 935
  • Consultation from District 935 administrators to refer to the Day Treatment Program
  • Must have completed a Diagnostic Assessment (DA) by a mental health professional or clinical trainee within one year of the initial start date of the program
  • The DA must document the need for the Day Treatment Program as medically necessary

Program Fees

  • No Fee
Provides a therapeutic educational environment for children with behavioral and mental health needs. Services include:
  • Educational support for each child
  • Intensity level of day treatment based on the student's Diagnostic Assessment (DA)
  • Learning and implementing skills necessary to become successful in school, home, and community settings
  • Psychotherapy and skill activities
