Minnesota Food Assistance Program - MFAP - Fillmore County Community Services - Social Services
The Minnesota Food Assistance Program (MFAP) was created in response to federal law changes which made certain legal non-citizens ineligible for federally funded Food Stamps. MFAP uses state funds to replace the benefits lost when federal Food Stamp eligibility ended.

Eligibility
MFAP is provided to legal non-citizens who do not receive benefits from the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), who do not qualify for federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to citizenship requirements, and who are age 50 or older.
