Trained coaches, who have overcome similar barriers, work with participants to learn to be successful individuals, fathers, employees and citizens through: - GED completion - Job skills preparation and job search instruction - Stable housing assistance - Life and empowerment skills instruction such as getting a drivers license, paying child support, money management, parent education - Development of individual life plan - Mentoring newer participants - Remaining drug free with no recent criminal offenses - Up to 3 months of continuing relationship after graduation to assure a positive transition

Eligibility

Focus is on African-American men ages 18 - 30 who do not have arson or criminal sexual conduct convictions as an adult. Will serve people of all races. Serves residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties.
