Volunteer Opportunities - Victim Services - Dodge and Olmsted Counties

Volunteer advocates complete a 40-hour training program to become Certified Volunteer Advocates in the state of Minnesota. After training, they answer the crisis line to provide emotional support, referrals, and information for victims of sexual assault and other crimes. Additionally, volunteers are trained to respond to Saint Mary's Emergency Department to support victims of sexual assault. Volunteer advocates assist victims/survivors during hospital sexual assault exams and law enforcement interviews. Volunteers must commit to taking one 8-hour shift per month.
