Abuse Advocacy and Support Groups - Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center

Advocates provide domestic violence/sexual assault supportive services, including but not limited to: individual sessions for any gendered abuse survivor, small groups for women, advocacy and assistance with restraining, protection or harassment orders, safety plans and assists with finding safe housing for individuals and families. "MARPE": 9 week domestic abuse/sexual assault support group for women generally offered once yearly. "MARPE HOPE": A 5-part recovery empowerment series for victim survivors of financial abuse. ??Oasis KidsPlace: Provides support, advocacy, and short-term programming for children who have witnessed family violence. KidsPlace conducts age specific support, ages 2 - 17 once a week for nine weeks as moms/caregivers attend MARPE9. School advocacy services available as assessed per parent/guardian request.????????????????

Call or email for appointment - Referrals accepted from shelters, courts, faith community organizations, family service agencies, child welfare, probation/community corrections, schools, churches, treatment centers, employers, health care workers, law enforcement, and self-referrals - Assessment and intake required to access services

Fee

Call for fee information; victim survivor services are free; depends on case/program

Required documents

For court, child welfare and law enforcement referrals, bring appropriate court and case plan documents; police report case number if filing crime victim's emergency financial assistance or reparations.

Individuals or families who are experiencing domestic abuse, sexual assault, homelessness or other family crisis including women, children, men; primarily serves residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties
