Description

Services for persons who are unemployed, welfare recipients, dislocated workers, older workers, and youth are located in neighborhood centers. Services include: - Interview training, job search techniques, resume preparation assistance - Job development - Job information, including job banks, job fairs, and job lines - Layoff preparation - MFIP employment services for eligible recipients - Other support services - Prevocational training - School to career programs - Skills training through apprenticeships, classroom training, internships, and on-the-job training - Vocational assessment and counseling, career change counseling, career awareness - WIA program
