Service area
Anoka County, MN
Provides education, support, and respite services for caregivers of adults and seniors in Anoka County. Services include:
  • In-Home Respite Services: Volunteers provide companionship to adult care recipients for 2 to 4 hours per week, giving caregivers a break from daily responsibilities.
  • Powerful Tools for Caregivers Classes: Six-session workshops that teach caregivers skills to care for themselves while caring for others.
  • The Gathering: An out-of-home group respite program where adult care recipients enjoy fellowship, lunch, and activities while caregivers participate in support groups, education, and time away from caregiving. Volunteers supervised by a registered nurse help operate the program. Caregivers may attend support groups even if their loved ones do not participate.
