Eligibility
  • Employed in current role at least 90 days
  • Full-time, part-time, temporary, seasonal, and workers in Minnesota with multiple jobs can qualify
  • Must have earned at least about $3,700 in the past year
  • Must work at least 50% of the time from a location in Minnesota (including remote work from Minnesota)

Application/registration form photo identification proof of income signed certification form from healthcare or service provider

Program Fees

  • No Fee
Offers a state-run program that provides eligible workers with paid time off and job protection when they need to care for their own serious health condition or to care for a family member, bond with a new child, or address certain military or safety-related needs. The program offers partial wage replacement while an employee is on leave and applies broadly to most employees working in Minnesota beginning January 1, 2026.
