Appeals Self-Help Clinic - Minnesota State Law Library

Attorneys will be available to help self-represented litigants understand the rules and procedures the appellate court requires. Anticipated topics may include: deadlines, what papers to file, fee waivers, motions, appellate briefs, serving the other party, and what the court will review. This is brief advice, not full representation. Law librarians will also be available to assist the clinic attendees locate forms and other legal resources.

Hours

- Office Hours: 8 am - 4:30 Monday - Firday - Clinic: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month - Lottery system to determine who sees the attorney first, second, etc. Arriving before 1 pm does not guarantee a particular position on the sign-up list. Those who arrive after 1 pm will be added to the list as time allows. - If time runs out, it is possible that some people who attend will not be able to meet with an attorney - Clinic dates may vary due to holidays
