Youth Support Services - Mentoring Young Adults - MYA

Support is provided to youth in the following areas: - Education: Helps clients who have secondary education goals to find educational development opportunities, pass the GED test, and find financial aid - Employment: Works with youth in finding and maintaining employment - Entrepreneurial skills: Provides young adults with information on creating businesses through small business plan development, leadership development, money management skills, and marketing skills - Housing: Helps anyone with barriers such as criminal history or unlawful detainers to find and maintain affordable housing including shelters, supportive housing programs, and single-family dwellings. Training is provided to tenants and landlords to help prevent repeated episodes of homelessness. Tenant training is provided to help individuals overcome barriers to housing and avoid repeated episodes of homelessness.
