Disability Information, Technical Assistance and Training Resource - Minnesota Council on Disability - MCD

Policy, training and technical resources regarding services to persons with disabilities and physical disabilities: - Advises the Governor, state legislature, state agencies and the public regarding disability issues. Reviews and helps in development of programs, services, and legislation for people with disabilities in Minnesota. - Furnishes information on resources for equipment needed by persons with disabilities, wheelchairs, etc. - Offers Certified Accessibility Specialist Course - Provides information regarding disability accessibility to buildings, disability parking, and housing, as well as regarding transportation issues, discrimination, and the relocation of people out of nursing homes and into the community, programs, and services. One brochure available in Spanish. - Provides training on employment issues and accommodations, disability awareness, ADA training, and other training as requested.
