Description

Transitional housing program that fulfills the need for healing time and personal development that combines best practices with a Christian environment. Services include: - Safe housing; food and clothing referrals; case management/advocacy; support group; domestic violence education courses; individualized therapy; life skills education; financial education and counseling; assistance to pursue education, jobs and housing; bible studies and prayer ministry - Women and children receive a comprehensive program for 12-18 months with the goal to equip and empower them to live free of abuse - Referrals are given to men who have been abused (i.e. Cornerstone, Domestic Abuse Project and Tubman) or wish to change abusive behavior (i.e. community groups) - Programs for women and children provide paths to emotional, spiritual and physical safety, and health. Mentors, tutors and educators are provided to educate, equip and empower women to increase confidence and quality of life as well as family stability. Goal is to help women and children transition to lives free of abuse.
