Center Based Services - Southside Family Nurturing Center

Half-day therapeutic preschool and toddler program for children aged 16 months to five years using the High Scope and AMAZE curricula. Program includes occupational and speech therapy for children with developmental delays as well as music and play therapy for children with identified delays or who may have experienced trauma. Parent education and parent support services for mothers and fathers. This includes client directed goal planning, home visiting, regular on-site family events, parenting support and parent child attachment activities, and crisis intervention.

- Families experiencing poverty, chemical dependency, mental health issues and domestic violence or family histories placing them at higher risk for negative long term health and education outcomes - Families must have children ages 16 months - five years and they must live within the following boundaries: west - Lyndale Avenue; east - Hiawatha; north - I-94; south - 38th Street
