Minnesota FoodShare - Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches

Minnesota FoodShare partners with members of the anti-hunger community to address the challenges of food insecurity throughout the state of Minnesota. Minnesota FoodShare provides resources and funding to about 300 Minnesota food shelves across the state through an annual Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign as well as education and anti-hunger resources. Advocates on hunger issues at the local, state, and national levels encouraging legislators and other decision makers to lend a compassionate voice to public policy debates that impact Minnesota families living in poverty.

Collaborates with, and strengthens communities by investing in a variety of initiatives and programs to foster greater equity and inclusion through advocacy and education around equity and poverty, volunteerism and service learning, mentoring and youth development, support services for seniors, and food security.

Partners with communities most impacted by a challenge or opportunity to co-design and lead a response. Currently working with partners in and outside of faith communities on initiatives that respond to current realities and evolving circumstances.
