Some methods are available directly at the clinic, while others require a prescription filled at the patient's preferred pharmacy. Available methods include: - Birth control pills taken daily - Contraceptive patch replaced weekly - Vaginal ring (NuvaRing©) inserted monthly - Depo shot (Depo Provera©) injected every three months - IUDs hormonal (effective for 3 to 7 years) and non-hormonal (effective up to 12 years), also available for emergency contraception - Implant (Nexplanon©) inserted in the arm, effective for up to 5 years - Condoms external and internal, protect against pregnancy and STIs - Fertility awareness methods track menstrual cycles to avoid pregnancy Note: Tubal ligation and vasectomy are not offered at WE Health Clinic but are available through referral.
