Description

Dispose of hazardous products such as paint, solvents, and pesticides The building includes a drive-through bay for dropping off materials for disposal. Products that will be accepted: - Adhesives - Aerosols - Automotive chemicals - Cleaners - Fluorescent Bulbs - Fuels - Garden chemicals - Mercury - Mothballs - Paints - Poisons - Pool chemicals - Roofing tar - Sealers - Solvents Products NOT accepted: - Appliances - Electronics - Explosives - Furniture - Household garbage - Medical waste - Pharmaceutical waste - Tires - Unknowns Reuse Store: In an effort to divert hazardous waste from entering the environment, the Reuse Store encourages reusing materials that come into the Household Hazardous Waste facility. These products are available to residents of the Tri-County area free of charge. Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Unit: The mobile unit stops in many communities throughout the summer for free drop off. Call for more information. Car Seat Recycling Program: Residents can drop off their used car seats and they will be disassembled and parts recycled Also provides the Stearns County Waste Wizard Mobile App. It is a tool that will help determine whether a specific item should be recycled, composted, or dropped off at the Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Facility. The mobile app that provides specific instructions on how to dispose of household items.
