Eligibility
  • Interviews: Children, teens, and vulnerable adults in cases of alleged physical or sexual abuse and witnesses to violent crimes. Referrals come through Child Protection and law enforcement.
  • Training and Consultation: Forensic interviewers of child, teen, and vulnerable adults who have disclosed physical and sexual abuse and/or have been witnesses to violent crime; mandated reporters; law enforcement officers; child protection officers; prosecuting county attorneys
  • Family Services: Caregivers of clients; community members seeking support for child abuse disclosure; community members seeking enrollment in the Safe at Home confidential address program; community members seeking trauma-focused therapy for children who have experienced a trauma event

Interpretation services
Bilingual Spanish speakers and court certified interpreters in multiple languages are available on-site; phone interpretation services are available for some services.

  • Forensic Interviewing: Referrals can be made by law enforcement and Child Protection by calling intake phone
  • Family Services: Caregivers are seen at the time of the forensic interview. Subsequent appointments are made with Family Services Workers.

  • Conducts prompt, objective, and developmentally appropriate forensic interviews for cases involving child or delayed adult sexual abuse and children who witness violent crimes
  • Coordinates legal, social, and therapeutic responses for child abuse victims and their families
  • Offers free, voluntary support services for caregivers, children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults following a forensic interview (e.g., caregiver and family support groups)
  • Provides family advocacy, including help enrolling in the Safe at Home confidential address program
