Helps saves lives in communities by installing smoke alarms in homes and educating people about home fire safety. During a home visit, residents receive:

- Emergency preparedness tips and information

- Guidance in the development of a Family Disaster Plan

- Up to 3 installed smoke alarms if no working smoke alarms are present in the home

Demonstration and installation services are performed by Red Cross-trained volunteers and/or community partners or local fire departments.
