Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) - Second Harvest Heartland

- Provides nutritional education and information on food preparation, food storage/safety, and wellness - Seniors participating in CSFP are given a box of highly nutritious food each month. Packages may include canned fruits, vegetables and juices; dry and UHT milk; American cheese; canned meat; peanut butter or dried beans; cereal; rice or pasta. - Seniors participating in CSFP in the in Metro Areas, as well as other areas of Minnesota are eligible for Farmer's Market Coupons in July.

Eligible clients are required to provide recently postmarked mail with name and address, knowledge of current gross monthly household income, and picture ID.

Eligibility

Seniors ages 60 and older living in Minnesota. Seniors must have incomes 130% or below of poverty level.

Distributes groceries to seniors, families and children through non-profit member agencies and programs including food shelves, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, faith-based organizations, and children's after-school programs.
