Emergency Assistance - EA - Brown County Human Services

Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.

- Call for application; walk in; or apply online via: https://mnbenefits.mn.gov Hard copy completed forms, applications and required documents, can be delivered to the office in one of four ways: - Dropped off at the office during open hours - Placed in the drop box in our parking lot anytime. Must be in an envelope with name and who it should go to. If individuals need original verifications returned, please note on the document. - Email or mailed to PO Box

Eligibility

Serves ow income families in Brown County with children under age 18. Families must have an emergency that threatens a child's health or safety and lack the goods or services necessary to protect the child's health or safety.
