Head Start Program Provides 3-5 year old children with a head start. Community based child and family development programming. Services promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth and development of 3-5 year old children from income eligible families and for age eligible children with special needs. Activities centered around health, education, nutrition, and socialization are focused on children's growth and development in language, literacy, math, science, social functioning, creative arts, physical skills, overall learning abilities, and more. Daily schedules at centers vary by location and include 4 hour, 6 hour, and extended day. Early Head Start A FREE program that provides services to income-eligible families who are expecting a baby or have an infant or toddler ages birth - 3 years The program provides a variety of learning experiences to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally, based on their individual needs. Services include: - Bi-monthly socialization opportunities with other EHS families - Health and developmental screenings to ensure that children are on track - Information and referrals to other community agencies as needed - Pre-natal support for expectant mothers - Services to all children, including those with any health, developmental, or nutritional needs - Weekly home visits with parents and their child(ren) to support the parents role as their child's first teacher
