First Steps - Blue Earth County Public Health Department

Partnership with the Greater Mankato Area United Way, Mankato Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. The overall goals of the program are to help pregnant women have healthy babies, promote child health and development, and strengthen family self-sufficiency. The Coordinator is located within the obstetrics departments of the Mankato Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System. The Coordinator serves pregnant women and families with young children (birth - Kindergarten age), offering them additional support, and connections to resources and supports within their community. First Steps Home Visiting provides support to families with children prenatally to 3 years of age with home visits focusing on education, health, and resources to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
