These outcomes can be measured in lives saved, fewer injuries, reduced damages, decreased disruptions, and shorter recovery time. Engineering: - Record drawings, including city maps, utility maps, and plat books- Street, sanitary sewer, water main, and storm drain improvementsPublic Works: - Street division is responsible for maintenance, repair and snow plowing of local streets. Also responsible for maintaining traffic signals, street name and regulatory signs, storm sewer and ponding areas, pavement markings, and tree trimming along boulevards.- Utility division operates and maintains wells, water storage facilities, water mains, sanitary sewer lines, lift stations, and fire hydrants.- The maintenance division is responsible for purchasing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing city vehicles and equipment.- The parks division maintains all areas of developed parks and grounds adjacent to public buildings and right-of-ways, including seeding, fertilizing, and mowing of grass.
