Assists students and families with special education needs access to appropriate services, including services in the following disability areas and related service areas:

Autism spectrum disorder
Deaf and hard of hearing
Deaf-blindness
Developmentally adapted physical education
Developmental cognitive disability
Emotional or behavioral disorders
Physically impaired
Severely multiply impaired
Specific learning disability
Speech or language impairments
Traumatic brain injury
Visually impaired

Children may be eligible for special education services at birth. Parents may also initiate the request for evaluation by submitting a written request for evaluation to the school. ?NOTE: Child must live or be attending a school in the district.
