Eligibility
  • Youth ages 14 - 20 in grades 9th and up and adult volunteers ages 18 and over. The Learning for Life character education program serves youth in grades K - 12 through in-school programs.
  • Residents of Anoka, Carver, Chippewa, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Le Sueur, McLeod, Meeker, Ramsey, Renville, Rice, Scott, Washington, Wright, Yellow Medicine, and portions of Stearns and Swift counties

Exploring is a worksite-based program and part of Learning for Life's career education program for young men and women ages 14 - 20. Provides experiences that help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Programs are based on five areas of emphasis: Career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership experience. Exploring post by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop. The Learning for Life character education program serves youth in grades Kindergarten - 12 for use in school classrooms. Programs are offered at businesses, schools, and organizations which charter Exploring and Learning for Life groups.
