Advocates on staff work with victims of domestic violence with a goal in mind to work towards ending violence. Advocates assist at the time of an incident, through the court process, and the emergency shelter period, if needed. Services include:Criminal Justice Intervention: Provide advocacy to victims-survivors who have an active case in the justice system and monitor the system's response to relationship abuse at all stages of the process. Advocates engage law enforcement agencies, either by phone or on the scene of a relationship abuse incident. On-Scene Advocates: Advocates are called to the scene of a relationship abuse incident immediately after the scene has been secured by law enforcement.
