Description

Provides the following senior employment services: - Classroom Training: Basic computer training, health services certificate training, direct care professional, CNA, workshops, seminars, individual construction, or training through other employment and training programs or community colleges. - Internship Assignment training: Interns work 20 hours/week and earn minimum wage. Interns learn work-based skills, increase confidence, and gain recent work experience. Skills include: Office and clerical support, kitchen assistant, custodial, janitorial, maintenance, information clerk, activity assistant, animal care provider, advocate, carpenter assistant. - Job Search Skills training:. Participants have access to employment assistance through the America's Job Center One Stop. Examples include: Applications, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, online job search, job search for offenders, creative job search, job club, communicating effectively at work, self-knowledge in work settings, making a good impression, problem-solving, and critical thinking in today's work world.
