Power ON and Gas Affordability Program (GAP) - Energy CENTS Coalition

Energy Cents Coalition administers two affordability programs: - Xcel Energy's customers may be eligible for the Power ON Program for electricity bills and Gas Affordability Program for gas bills - Greater Minnesota Gas customers may be eligible for Gas Affordability Program for gas bills Both Power ON and the Gas Affordability Program: - Require the customer to make a monthly payment on their bill. The programs are designed to make utility bills more affordable, to encourage customers to make consistent payments, and to lower the costs associated with the utility's attempts to collect payments from customers with limited resources. - In exchange for a monthly payment, the programs provide the customer with a discount so that a fixed percentage of income goes to the utility bill. The discount is based on usage and income. - Puts the customer on a leveled payment - Individuals can call or visit website to find if applications are currently being accepted

Xcel Energy and/or Greater Minnesota Gas customers who live in Minnesota and have received assistance from the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (Energy Assistance) for the current fiscal year.
