Counseling Services - Inver Hills Community College

Counselors provide professional career, academic and personal counseling services in a confidential setting where students can discuss personal concerns and work to achieve greater academic success. Students can meet with a counselor for assistance with academic planning and support; career counseling and assessment; choosing a major; community resources; financial hardship resources and support; health and well-being resources; personal/mental health related support; and planning for transfer. Individual appointments, crisis intervention, workshops and referrals are provided. Counselors also assist students in connecting with campus and community resources related to basic needs.

8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays; 8:30 am - 5 pm Wednesday; 8:30 am - 3 pm Friday

Application process

Services are available via phone, zoom or in person. Appointments are required unless there is an urgent mental health or financial need. Call or visit website to schedule an appointment. Students with an urgent need should call or walk in to go to the front desk to be assisted in connecting with a counselor.
