Emergency Assistance - EA - Isanti County Financial Assistance

- Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Financial assistance provided must resolve the emergency and it must be determined to be cost-effective to maintain residence. - Individuals may receive financial assistance once every 12 months - Individuals must have used 50% of their income during the past 60 days toward basic needs - Financial assistance is provided for electric service payment assistance, evictions (mortgage payment assistance if more than two months behind, rent payment assistance if more than two months behind, and rental deposit assistance), gas service payment assistance, heating fuel payment assistance, utility deposit assistance, and water service payment assistance. Phone service is covered if medically necessary and a physician's statement is required. - Financial assistance is made in the form of payment directly to the provider (landlord or utility company) NOTE: Client may also be eligible for Emergency Medical Assistance.
