Description

Provides information on online learning opportunities in the state. Online learning offers expanded course choices and flexibility in time, pace, path and place where students learn. Students in Minnesota may take some of their courses, or enroll entirely, with a public school that operates online. Though students may be able to sometimes meet with their teachers in person, instruction happens primarily through the use of digital technology. Programs vary in their structure and schedule, but students can expect to: - Be taught by licensed teachers employed by the online school. - Learn topics and curriculum aligned with Minnesota's academic standards. - Engage in learning activities for about the same amount of their day as with traditional school programs. - Grade progress and earn credits (in high school) that apply toward a diploma.
