Helps families create safe, nurturing environments for children through health screenings, education, support services, and resources that promote healthy pregnancies, positive parenting, nutrition, child development, and injury prevention. Services are provided by phone, at community locations, or through home visits.
Services include:
- Blood Lead Testing: Screening services to detect lead exposure in children and adults to prevent lead poisoning.
- Child Passenger Safety: Education and services related to proper child car seat installation and safe restraint use.
- Clinic Services: Health services including birth control, pregnancy testing, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening and treatment.
- Family Home Visiting: Home-based support for expectant parents and families with young children, including pregnancy education, developmental monitoring, postpartum and newborn visits, parenting support, and referrals to community resources.
- Follow Along Program: Developmental screening and monitoring to help parents track their child's growth and connect with services if needed.
