The Recorder and Registrar's Office provides:- Calculates, collects, and receipts state deed tax and mortgage registration tax- Collects and distributes well disclosure certificates and certificates of real estate value- Collects and receipts recording fees and well disclosure certificate fees- Files and maintains ordinations- Files notary commissions- Maintains and issues copies of all recorded documents- Maintains and issues copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates- Processes marriage license applications and issues marriage licenses- Records documents related to real property transactions in both abstract and Torrens divisions- Transfers names and addresses of taxpayers based on recorded documents
