Provides internships for both undergraduate and graduate students who possess or are pursuing a Criminal Justice or related degree. Offers two internships: - Juvenile Alternative Facility (JAF): Provides an extensive exposure to facility services in a 16-bed non-secure juvenile facility - Probation Office: Provides opportunities for interns to shadow services in pre-trial, sentencing, and adult and juvenile supervision Interns will gain direct experience such as: - Client supervision - Collaboration with service providers in the community - Court observation and presentation - Facility functions of a 24-hour non-secure juvenile detention center - Observe parole hearings, pre-sentence, and pre-dispositional investigations - Opportunities to receive certifications and special trainings to increase their knowledge and their resumes
