Provides education, screening, credentials, and liability insurance coverage for volunteer handlers and their pets who wish to make therapy animal visits at facilities in their community. Services include: - Information and support to facilities wishing to implement therapy animal visitation - Offers support for practitioners using animal-assisted interventions as part of their practice - Provides information and support to facilities wishing to implement therapy animal visitation - Supports research into the effects and efficacy of animal-assisted interventions - Trains and credentials therapy animal teams to make animal-assisted crisis response visits in their community after crisis or disaster
