  • Single adults and families who are behind on their rent or have found a rental unit and need help with a deposit and first month's rent
  • Serves residents of northern Saint Louis County in the cities of Angora, Aurora, Babbit, Balkan, Bear River, Beatty, Biwabik, Breitung, Britt, Buhl, Buyck, Cherry, Chisholm, Clinton, Cook, Cotton, Crake Lake, Cusson, Eagles Nest, Ely, Embarrass, Eveleth, Fayal, Gheen, Gilbert, Greaney, Greenwood, Hibbing, Hoyt Lakes, Iron Junction, Kabetogama, Kinney, Leonidas, Linden Grove, McKinley, Mountain Iron, Orr, Palo, Pike, Sandy, Side Lake, Sturgeon, Toivola, Tower, Vermilion, Virginia, White, and Zim

NOTE: Application is closed for this program. Funds may be available to prevent homelessness who are past due on their housing expenses and need financial assistance with a rent deposit, first month's rent, past due rent, or at risk of being disconnected from their utilities, and need help to keep their current housing can apply. NOTE: Single adults and families who are residents of northern Saint Louis County area must get a pre-screen through United Way 211 to access this program. The pre-screen information is provided to Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency.
