Summer job opportunities throughout the city of St. Paul for low-income city residents ages 14 - 21. Jobs may be with parks, libraries, or nonprofits which will provide basic work experience. Every effort will be made to place workers in an area that meet their interest and at a location that is within 2 miles of their home.

Most jobs run from the middle of June to the end of August. Exact dates vary by year.

Application process

Applications must be submitted online at www.stpaul.gov/jobs in February. Once the application is received, eligible candidates will be invited to an job expo. Candidates will then receive a letter to set up an interview.

- Youth ages 14 - 21 who are residents of St. Paul - Individuals must also either: meet household income guidelines (at or below 80% of the metro area median income) OR have a barrier to employment. Exact income guideline and possible barriers to employment can be found online.

Saint Paul Parks and Recreation features more than 170 parks and open spaces, Como Zoo, Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, 25 city-operated Recreation Centers, a 9-hole and three 18-hole golf courses, more than 100 miles of trails, indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, a public beach, sports facilities and rental facilities for weddings, picnics, and corporate events.
