Head Start and Early Head Start - West Central Minnesota Communities Action

Head Start is a Federal program for preschool children from low-income families. A comprehensive child development program designed for young children and their families in the areas of health, nutrition, social service, parent involvement, and education. The program is designed to serve low-income children and their families. Some children with special needs may be enrolled regardless of income. Head Start Programs are available in the following locations: - Alexandria - Brandon - Elbow Lake - Fergus Falls - Menahga - Morris - Osakis - Parkers Prairie - Pelican Rapids - Perham - Starbuck - Wadena - Wheaton

Eligibility

Serves children ages birth - 5 years who are residents of Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wadena counties; eligibility is based on family income, special needs, and resources available to the community
