Mediation is conducted remotely by phone or online and is available before court involvement, including eviction hearings. Housing Mediation: Supports renters and property owners or managers in resolving housing-related issues. Common goals include: - Collecting or repaying unpaid rent - Improving communication - Maintaining housing stability - Negotiating settlements to avoid eviction Family Mediation: Helps families reach agreements on personal and intergenerational matters. Common issues include: - Child or grandparent visitation - Elder care and adult sibling disputes - Parenting plans and co-parenting arrangements NOTE: Cases involving active domestic abuse, child abuse, or pre-divorce property division are not eligible. Community Mediation: Assists with a range of everyday conflicts in various settings.
