Energy Savings - Energy CENTS Coalition

Provides energy audits and energy savings measures (e.g. insulation and HVAC) and energy efficient refrigerators, freezers, window / wall air conditioners, LED light bulbs and dehumidifiers to income-eligible, high energy usage households who have an Xcel account in their name. Also available to property owners of 1 - 4 unit buildings in Xcel Energy service areas. Landlords receive a free energy audit and a 20% discount for replacing older furnaces, boilers, and water heaters (80% area median income or below).

Eligibility

- Residents of Dakota County cities: South Saint Paul and West Saint Paul - Rental property owners of 1-4 unit buildings with low-income tenants in the east metro areas - Residents of Ramsey and Washington counties - Must be an Xcel Energy customer and a homeowner with an Xcel account number in South St. Paul or West St. Paul, or Ramsey and Washington counties; with an income 80% or less of Area Median Income. Landlords must agree to participate and to pay 20% of all HVAC costs
