Call for information and assistance with applying; an application must be filed within 30 days of a transfer of legal custody and MFIP (Minnesota Family Investment Plan) must be applied for before payment can begin

A Relative Custody Assistance Grant is a monthly financial assistance payment administered by Social Services for relatives who take permanent legal and physical custody of children with special needs upon a juvenile court determination that the children are unable to return to their parent's home.
