Eligibility

Renters who: - Ages 18 and over - Are a resident of Minneapolis - Have never received the Renter Support Fund in the current calendar year - Spend 30% or more of their income on housing costs

Application/intake form documents listing complete name and current address expenses, housing cost, and rent statements eviction notice or letter from landlord/property owner Hennepin County denial letter Medical Assistance (MA) benefit letter proof of income SNAP benefits Social Security statements W-9 form

Offers a rent support program to low-income renters in Minneapolis. There are no restrictions on how renters can spend the money. Individuals can use the rent support program towards utilities, rent payments, legal fees, or household expenses. Visit website for more information on available dates when the application opens each month. NOTE: The application for the rent support program typically opens on the second Monday of each month and closes on the third Monday of the month. When a holiday falls on a second Monday, the application period will begin on the following day instead.
