Open to all adults ages 55 and older who meet certain federal income guidelines, are residents of Minnesota and are at least one of the following: - Retirees who wish to return to work part-time - Unemployed and wish to learn new skills - Widowed individuals who have little recent work experience outside the home

Description

Helps older adults ages 55 years and older get on-the-job training and current work experience through paid community service assignments. A select group of local agencies provides services statewide. Those designated service providers will work with the individual to determine if they are eligible and then handle all aspects of the program with the participant. Benefits include: - Federal or state minimum wage, whichever is higher - Job training and future job placement - Personal and job-related counseling - Physical examinations
