Protects the health, safety, and rights of individuals receiving services by ensuring providers meet minimum standards of care and physical environment. The program addresses complaints related to child care and children's residential facilities, including issues of licensing, cleanliness, safety, treatment of residents, quality of care, fees, and conduct of personnel. It also involves the licensing and regulation of child care providers, children's group homes, and foster homes, including reviewing applications, issuing or denying licenses, inspecting facilities for compliance, and taking disciplinary action for noncompliance.
