Crimes Against Children - Investigates: - Crimes of abuse, neglect, endangerment, maltreatment of children - Deprivation of parental rights - Intra-familial sexual abuse - Works to break patterns of abuse and mistreatment and connect children to valuable social services Domestic Assault - Reduce domestic violence - Help strengthen families within the city - Hold people accountable for domestic assault Sex Crimes - Investigates sex crimes that include, but limited to: - Rape - Molestation - Indecent conduct - Stalking - Works with victims and social service agencies to support a victim-centered approach - Predatory offender compliance - Registration information for predatory offenders Juvenile Investigations - Investigates cases where the offender is under the age of 18, including: - Assault - Domestic assault - Missing person - Robbery - Unit maintains files on runaway and missing juveniles - Youth Connection Center website - Juvenile Detention Center website License Investigations - This unit includes: - Auto theft prevention - Financial crimes - Narcotics - Gun permits - Charitable gambling regulation - Investigates crimes related to: - Abuse of vulnerable adults - Animal crimes - Gambling - Illegal selling, buying and possession of dangerous drugs and narcotics - Liquor licensing - Pawn - Youth alcohol compliance - Additionally works with: - Local Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force investigating federal narcotics cases
