LGBTQ Parent Education, Outreach, Advocacy and Support - Family Equality Council

Provides support to families of the LGBTQ community and for parents who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer. Services include: - Access to Family Equality's National Network free membership for meetings, starting a family group, resources, network directory, mentorship opportunities, and training - Annual Family Week at-home activities - Books for parents and children - Family Camp during the summer and fall - International Family Equality Day celebration to raise awareness among politicians, the public, advocacy for equal treatment, and recognition for all families - Legal and legislative advocacy. Tracks legislation at federal and state levels on a range of issues. - The Neighborhood virtual hub of community events for LGBTQ parents and their children to connect with other families, learn, grow, and have fun - Resource directory for family planning including fertility clinics, midwives, and more - Resource library of articles for families to explore topics on adoption, parenting, and more - School advocacy and educational events - Speak Out program for opportunities to be connected to panels, workshops, media interviews, blog writing, policy work, and podcasts - Training opportunities for employers and professionals
