Residents of Ramsey or Washington County who meet the following criteria: - Ages 18 or over - Household must have a total income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline - Must be employed and need car to maintain employment - Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license - Must provide proof they are the owner of the vehicle and have current insurance coverage - Vehicle must be 15 years or newer
Application credit release household budget picture ID proof of monthly income proof of dependent child proof of monthly expenses (copies of rental agreement, bills, child support documentation, etc.)
8 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

Description

Helps households with needed car repairs and maintenance costs for their car so that individuals can have reliable transportation to keep a job or have stability. The program offers: - A one-time grant that does not need to be repaid - Maintenance and/or minor repair costs for a vehicle that is 15 years or newer Note: This is not a crisis or emergency program. Application takes 2 - 6 weeks.
