Description

Provides the following services: - Self-Advocates Minnesota (SAM): A statewide network to help people with developmental disabilities know their rights and demand those rights through personal and group action. There are six SAM regions; contact information for each region can be found online. - Self-advocacy training materials for self-advocates, professionals, schools and the general public - Remembering with Dignity: Organizes to replace numbered grave markers at state institutions with proper headstones, and remember people buried there with dignity and respect. - Provides networking opportunities to connect with others promoting self-advocacy for people with developmental and other disabilities. - Public policy and legislative activities
